China has done it again. If we didn't know any better, we would say they were in competition with Dubai who themselves have erected many a record-breaking structures such as the world's tallest building in Burj Khalifa and now this year already the world's largest natural flower garden and the world's tallest hotel.
Welcome to The New Century Global Center, which recently opened in Chendgu, China. It is 328 feet high, (100 metres high), 1,640 feet long, (500 metres long) and 1,312 feet wide, (400 metres wide). That’s roughly 20 times the size of Sydney’s legendary Opera House, four times the size of Vatican City, and three times the size of the Pentagon. And its 420 acres in floor space is nearly the size of the entire country of Monaco (499 acres).
It’s an absolutely mammoth structure.
But what good would the world’s largest building be without a mind-boggling array of businesses, range of activities, and mix of amenities. Here are some of them. (Click on photos to enlarge)
